In this follow-up to the original classic, you are once again a member of Interpol's Rolling Thunder task force, and it's up to you to stop the return of the evil Geldra organisation. Now known as Neo-Geldra, and led by a newcomer named Gimdo, the bad guys are bent on destroying several valuable outer space satellites. In this one or two player game you can play as Leila or Albatross - both characters from the original - as you venture through several different levels trying to put a stop to the nefarious efforts of Gimdo and the rest of the Neo-Geldra. Use your bullets wisely and make the Rolling Thunder proud!

Rolling thunder first appeard in the arcades with the original title being famous for being a good side scrolling shoot em up complete with an intro that had a 'Scary Alien' laughing loudly at you from out of the screen... I remember being very very young and that scaring the bejus out of me. For anyone who has played number 1 this is just more of the same but with an added two player co-op mode. For those that havent this is a side scrolling shooting game walk from one side of the screen to the other killing aliens (all huminoid in form) with your gun and dodging there bullets by ducking behind crates ecetera. Iits like a space version of shadow dancer (anyone remember that). The game plays well and is grippping for short plays good fun with a friend but ultimatly forgetable it falls in to the realms of the average/pretty decent game but there are far better games to spend your virtual console points on.
