Invited to Princess Peach's castle, Mario discovers that she has once again been kidnapped by Bowser and his minions.  However, something has changed... This time the adventure is in 3D!  Unravel the secrets of Peach's castle and find all 120 stars as Mario steps into a whole new dimension for this unforgettable launch title of the Nintendo 64.  Widely considered as one of the best video games of all time, it stays faithful to the spirit of the series, although Mario has gained many new moves, he remains as easy to control as ever.  This is also the game that set the analogue stick as a standard for video games.

This is the game that really pushed the 3D genre forward for consoles. Many people were scared to see the Mario series go from 2D to 3D, but Nintendo really nailed it with this game. If you have never played it, do yourself a favor and download Mario 64 now. It is a true classic.

This game really is something special. I've never actually completed it...but I've loved every minute of what I've done so far XD Thoroughly recommended for all Virtual Console or N64 owners

A game which has alot more use on the Nintendo DS system in my opinion.

If you want a game to keep you entertained for a couple of weeks (while you get annoyed with the camera) this is a pretty good buy.

If you want alot more replay value, multiplayer and an even bigger adventure, get the DS title for around £15.

Not as good as Galaxy but still a genuine classic.

I liked the game but it was better to play it on DS because I could play it anywhere. The game was difficult to complete 100% but getting to that marker was wonderful. I liked the game throughout and it deserves all of the credit it gets.

Still a classic that stands up for itself 13 years after original release. The levels are classic and there is still a challenge to them this very day. The music is probably the second best music to a Mario game behind Super Mario Galaxy. My only problem is that the games controls on Virtual Console are sometimes don't respond.
