Sorry Mate, all mine are going towards Wii Points.

Gotta save up for VC Games.

Oooh, I can afford that - 16745 stars.

But is the statue worth £65 which is roughly what the statue is worth if we take 4000 stars to be worth £15 (as that's what Wii Point cards are worth).

I'm going for the no as it would only be there for bragging rights, and as most of my mates aren't particularly pro Nintendo, I wouldn't even have that.  I'd rather put those stars towards either Virtual Console games, or save up for Wii Ware games.

I applaud your optimisim however, I suggest that now is a time for realism - you aren't going to get enough stars to buy the statue.  You'd need to get 55 game cards to register to get the required number of stars (and that's assuming they're the old style 250 ones, with the new styel 200 star cards, you're looking at a lot more)

I've got 16745 as I never brought anything from the old star catalogue.  Actually, that's not true, I always brough the 0 star items when they came out Stick out tongue.

Maybe if u were to pay me £56 + p&p as that's how much buying that would cost me in terms of Wii Points lost but that will cause difficulties and would defeat the point as you wouldn't have earnt the statue through buying games.
